Finally, We are walking!

Cruz made amazing progress this week. He is now walking without his walker! He is so proud of himself. Every time he sees me he yells "I walkin mama, I walkin!" I will post video as soon as I learn how.

Using the Walker

I finally got a handicapped parking sticker. Cruz can now use his walker when we go out and about. So far it is just church and school, but he is making progress. We are trying to go to the mall or the Life Center at church to walk 3 times a week. He is so proud of himself, but he also realizes he can get there quicker by crawling!

Argh!

Cruz is very proud that he can take his leg off all by himself! It used to take him a while to work it off, now he just puts his hand on it and pushes it right off and looks at me for praise! Are ya kiddin me? You want me to clap for you for taking off the leg I had to hog tie you to put on!

Terrible Twos

Cruz has made some progress, but lately he has been having meltdowns at therapy and refusing to participate. Very discouraging and quite annoying since it is not easy to schedule weekly therapy with 4 kids.

Cruz gets AmTryke

Cruz got a therapeutic trike today at Maxx Federal Credit Union by donations to the Montgomery Area Friends of Ambucs. They provide bikes and trikes to kids with disabilities. He loves riding the trikes at therapy, so I know he will love it at home too. It makes therapy fun which is what you have to do with kids.

Cruz gets a new leg and it is super cool!

We have faith that one day Cruz is going to take off!
